Schauer Raises Over $226k in Pre-General Filing Period

SCHAUER RAISES OVER $226,000 IN PRE-GENERAL FILING PERIOD
Congressional challenger has more cash on hand than Walberg had on October 1

BATTLE CREEK— Today Mark Schauer (D-Battle Creek) announced that his campaign raised more than $226,000 during the pre-general filing period, which covers October 1-15.

"With Tim Walberg's false attacks backfiring, Mark Schauer is continuing to build momentum as we head into the homestretch of the campaign," said campaign manager B.J. Neidhardt. "It's clear that voters are ready for a Congressman who will fight for their jobs harder than he'll fight to save his own."

During the pre-general filing period, Schauer brought in more than 900 contributions, and had over $735,000 cash on hand. In comparison, Tim Walberg had only $691,635 cash on hand at the end of the third quarter filing period.

"People are sick and tired of these unfair trade deals, which cost Michigan 319,000 jobs last year," said Schauer. "I plan to spend the next twelve days talking with voters about my record of working with business to level the playing field and create a more competitive environment to create jobs right here in the 7th district. Today's news ensures that we'll have the resources we need to get our message out between now and Election Day."
