Walberg Keeps Up Lies About Schauer in New Attack Ad

WALBERG KEEPS UP LIES ABOUT SCHAUER IN NEW AD
Schauer voted against driver's licenses for illegal immigrants and sponsored bills to stop companies from hiring undocumented workers

BATTLE CREEK—Congressman Tim Walberg's latest ad continues the lies about Mark Schauer's record in a desperate attempt to hide his own economic failures. Mark Schauer has voted multiple times against allowing illegal immigrants to get a driver's license and he has sponsored legislation to address the cause of the immgration problem by preventing companies from giving our jobs to undocumented workers.

"Tim Walberg hasn't done anything to save Michigan jobs, but he'll say anything to save his own," said Schauer spokesman Zack Pohl. "Mark Schauer will make sure jobs and resources go to Michigan workers first, while Tim Walberg will just make things worse."

The Bush Administration, which Walberg has supported wholeheartedly, has turned a blind eye to companies breaking the rules and giving our jobs to illegal immigrants. In fact, the enforcement of immigration laws is down 30 percent from the previous administration [http://www.thirdway.org/press/release/43].
