Republicans Mike Pence, Michele Bachmann headline fundraisers for former U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg this week

Former U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg benefited from two fundraising lunches this week from some well-known members of the House Republican caucus.

On Monday, Indiana Congressman and House Republican Conference chairman Mike Pence spoke at a private fundraising luncheon for Walberg in Battle Creek. Later that evening, Pence delivered a speech at Hillsdale College.

On Tuesday, Minnesota Congresswoman and Tea Party favorite, Michele Bachmann headlined a fundraiser for Walberg in Ann Arbor.

Both events took place in private residences, Walberg spokesman Joe Wicks said.

“People are really enthused to stop the Obama-Pelosi agenda,” Wicks said. “We’re delighted to have their support.”

U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer's campaign drew attention to Bachmann’s visit on their YouTube page, by putting together a short video that featured some of what they viewed as Walberg’s and Bachmann most outrageous statements calling them, “two extremists in a pod.”
